Terms of Use

Last updated: 4 October 2026. Pilot version for the Radio OS test service.

In short: be kind, be honest about who you are, and only broadcast what you have the right to. Listening is free and needs no account. Broadcasting needs an approved host account.

1. The service

Radio OS is a live map of human voices. Listeners tune in to community stations. Approved hosts broadcast live. The service is provided in a test (pilot) phase, "as is", and may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn.

2. Listening

Anyone can listen without an account. Radio stations marked as external are operated by third parties. We link to their public streams and do not own, control or rebroadcast them. If you represent a station and want it removed, use "Report / request removal" in the app.

3. Hosts

4. Moderation

We may stop a broadcast or suspend a host account that breaks these terms. We always tell the host the reason, and a host can ask for a review at any time through the app. We do not secretly restrict accounts.

5. Reports

Anyone can report a live broadcast or an external station. We review reports as quickly as we reasonably can, but we cannot monitor every broadcast in real time.

6. Content and rights

Hosts keep the rights in what they say. By broadcasting, hosts allow listeners to hear it live through the service. We do not record broadcasts. Do not record or republish other people's broadcasts without their permission.

7. Liability

We do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for content broadcast by hosts or by external radio stations, or for interruptions of the service, and our liability for the free service is limited to the extent permitted by law.

8. Privacy

See our Privacy Policy.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Contact: radio-os@proton.me. Operator: Radio OS (pilot project).

This pilot version is a plain-language draft and should be reviewed by a qualified adviser before a public commercial launch.
